Near Olympic National Park on Washington's Olympic Peninsula there is splendor all around. The Peninsula is accessed from Seattle either by driving around the southern part of Puget Sound or by crossing the Sound on one of many ferries. Puget Sound itself plays host to various sealife, including sea lions, orca, dalls porpoises, and many species of birds.
This event encompasses a variety of activities during the five days. It can include a trip to the San Juan Islands to view orca where as many as three different pods can be seen; hiking in the National Park on the Hurricane Ridge trail where one can see across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria, British Columbia on clear days; and visiting stands of virgin timber. |
