Southern Utah

Only the southwest part of the United States offers rainbow-colored sandstone, immense canyons, spires, and inspiring mountain views. Southern Utah plays host to these wondrous natural settings and more. Group will meet at Torrey, Utah located on Utah State Highway 24 just west of the entrance to Capitol Reef National Park.

This three-day event takes place near Dixie National Forest which stretches 170 miles across the southern part of the state and offers spectacular and inspiring views. It lends itself to personal contemplation and thoughtful group discussion. Capitol Reef National Park is home to the water pocket fold, which allows for incredible sandstone formations and cliffs.
Also available is interesting information about the ancient Fremont culture and an early pioneer settlement. Together, these locations provide the participant with exciting outdoor experiences and a sense of history. Days are spent hiking and exploring the area as well as meeting local residents and discovering the way they live. Topics and assignments intended to broaden the individual's horizons will be designated to groups of three to four people wherein each group "investigates" their topic for about ½ day. At an appointed time, the group gathers as a whole and listens to each small group describe their experience, including places visited and people met.

Small, locally owned motels and camping are available depending on preference.

Please note

that all trips are developed and run with personal growth and expansion of horizons being the goal. Wingspan Ltd.'s mission is to help people get out of their comfort zone and enjoy doing it.
